My Self-Summary

Back where I'm from, I was personally mentored by one of the best surgeons in the Kingdom of Rondon, who was a baron no less. Eventually, I also ended up serving as a combat medic for a war that just recently ended. As a result, I can't say I've had a lot of time exploring much in the way of hobbies, but I'll be glad to explore that kind of thing with people here. It's certainly much calmer by comparison.

My Future Plans

Difficult to say as we adjust to life in this resort, but right now I'm just interested in getting to know everyone else here and assuring we all have a pleasant time. I assure you, I'd like to see to it you have one.

My Talents

I used to work as a butler, so I have experiencing in mixing some pretty decent cocktails.

As much as I would love make people here a drink, I'd also enjoy showing how good I am with my hands. And, well, everything else, for the record.

Not much for books honestly; they put me to sleep better than any sedative. But I do like jazz and swing music, mystery films, and I favor beef wellingtons.

[Daan clears his throat. This seems kind of a goofyass logic, but you know what he'll roll with it.]

Is it too late to ask?

[kinnie]

[ cloud sighs.

and then his arm hooks around daan’s waist, and he flops onto the bed, bringing him down with him.

it is very goofy. ]

[well there it is, they're both in bed now

Daan pushes the plush away so he can comfortably snuggle up against Cloud, fingers gripping the front of his shirt.]

Hm. You're definitely right, doesn't compare to the real thing at all.

[kinnie]

[ he really is just like a cat. visibly flustered, cloud’s gaze roams, fixing itself onto the wall. ]

…Been thinking about this for awhile?

[limbical]

[There's some hesitance, but eventually he admits:] Yes.

If I knew all it took was simply to ask, I would've done that much sooner.

[kinnie]

[ a sigh. ]

For someone so smart, you really have your moments, doc.

[ a beat. ]

…Was there anyone you liked today…?

[limbical]

I practically invited you, in my defense.

[he huffs for a moment before he settles back down]

Mm. I guess a couple of them were fine. Nobody did anything I disliked, but... to be honest, I'm not interested in doing more with most people.

[That is to say, if he gets a couple of friends out of this, that's fine. But anything more, he really doesn't care to.]

[kinnie]

[ interesting. that’s…good. he didn’t have a bad time altogether.

cloud goes quiet before speaking again. ]

…Why’s that?

[ just curious. ]

[limbical]

[ugh dont ask him this it's embarrassing]

...Because I'm not interested in those people on an emotional level. An ally, an acquaintance, or if things go particularly well maybe even a friend -- those things are fine.

[kinnie]

[ hmm. okay.

he swallows. ]

[ no, this was a stupid question. ]

Hm?

You can... ask me anything you want, Cloud. I won't be mad.

[kinnie]

[ god, this was embarrassing. ]

…Is this “more”?

[limbical]

...Well.

[There's a pause as he rubs his thumb over the part of Cloud's shirt he has clutched in his hand, idly feeling the fabric. He feels his heart beat a little harder, anxious, but also with a familiar flutter.]

For... me, it is.

[kinnie]

[ alright. that settles it. makes the pang of jealousy and its remnants slowly melt away.

cloud leans in, catching him in a kiss, letting it hang in between them. ]

[limbical]

[He isn't sure he exactly understands, at least at first. The body language was not something he could interpret well to begin with, when Cloud was strangely withdrawn. Simmering, but not angry with Daan. Pulling away somewhat when Daan kissed his cheek.

But now there's... this, being sweetly kissed after essentially admitting to how emotionally important Cloud is to him. Not blatantly stating what's really there, but merely implying like some emotionally stunted teenager. He ponders it somewhat as he returns the kiss, relieved to have it. With his free hand, Daan gently touches Cloud's cheek, and then it hits him.

wait a fuckin second, man

Daan eventually pulls out of the kiss.] Were you... [Ugh. If he's off the mark, he's going to feel so damned stupid. Regardless, Daan does blush, embarrassed to say it.]

Were you jealous?

[kinnie]

[ well, this is embarrassing.

cloud opens his mouth. closes it. opens it again. ]

…No.

[ his jaw tenses. ]

…Yeah… I… was.

[limbical]

[Well, now that does explain a lot. Daan makes a soft noise, giving Cloud another kiss, brief and light.]

I have to say, this is a first for me.

[At least, to his knowledge nobody's ever gotten jealous over him before.]

I'm sorry for not realizing. ...But you're... you mean a lot to me, Cloud.

[kinnie]

…Your wife—she didn’t…?

[ he lets the question trail off. it’s a sensitive topic — he doesn’t broach it often. ]

…It’s fine. It’s my problem and I’ll deal with it.

[limbical]

Who would she have been jealous of? She had no competition to speak of, and I was dedicated to serving her and her father.

[Daan leans in, gently nipping Cloud's chin.]

I should've expected that kind of answer. What am I to do with you?

[kinnie]

Yeah, well…

[ he thinks you’re a catch. anyways, cloud looks away, flustering. ]

…Ugh. Just forget about it…

[ its’s embarrassing!! ]

[limbical]

I don't think I could forget about it, but I'll stop teasing you for now.

[A pause, then a more gentle kiss to Cloud's cheek.]

[kinnie]

[ ugh. cloud flicks the back of daan’s head, admonishing!! ]

You’re lucky you’re cute.

[limbical]

[rude!!]

Back at you. I wouldn't be nearly so patient with someone I wasn't endeared to.

[kinnie]

Is it because you’re endeared to me, or is it because you clearly use me as a heater?

[limbical]

Hmph. [getting called out!] Can't it be both?
