My Self-Summary

Back where I'm from, I was personally mentored by one of the best surgeons in the Kingdom of Rondon, who was a baron no less. Eventually, I also ended up serving as a combat medic for a war that just recently ended. As a result, I can't say I've had a lot of time exploring much in the way of hobbies, but I'll be glad to explore that kind of thing with people here. It's certainly much calmer by comparison.
My Future Plans

Difficult to say as we adjust to life in this resort, but right now I'm just interested in getting to know everyone else here and assuring we all have a pleasant time. I assure you, I'd like to see to it you have one.
My Talents

I used to work as a butler, so I have experiencing in mixing some pretty decent cocktails.

As much as I would love make people here a drink, I'd also enjoy showing how good I am with my hands. And, well, everything else, for the record.

Not much for books honestly; they put me to sleep better than any sedative. But I do like jazz and swing music, mystery films, and I favor beef wellingtons.

Honestly? It's just nice to have someone to talk to. I've been alone for years now and it's probably not doing me any favors, and even before then I was having to keep everyone at arms-length so nobody got hurt because of me.

[She sighs heavily, but offers him a tired smile.]

[She gestured to the dice, but honestly? She didn't mind just talking with him if he wanted.]

[There's a shrug, then a bit of a wry smile.]

[She has to laugh it off or it'll sting. Sighing softly, she cocks her head as she hums.]

Aerith. I don't mind talking some more, but I think I need a distraction, it's a lot of stuff I don't want to think too hard about.

[Well. That pings him in a way he doesn't expect, but he doesn't say it. Instead, he smiles faintly, a bit crookedly before looking down at his hands.

He has quite a bit of bad luck himself.]

[Her smile is warm and bright, a hint of a laugh hiding in it.]

Probably should've done our "hello, nice to meet you"s before I bit your face, huh?

[She has to think, tapping a finger against her cheek.]

If there was anything you could do at all, what would it be? Doesn't have to be anything serious, it can be silly if you'd like.

Oh, I've had worse introductions. Might as well have gotten my face bitten by a charming lady, I think.

[he sits back and considers her question.

Daan doesn't enjoy blatantly lying, but he also isn't keen to reveal his underbelly either.]

Other than not be in this insane place claiming to be a resort? [He muses.] Hm, I think I'd like owning a bar. That'd be nice, I do like making drinks.

[She giggles, her smile returning at being called 'charming.']

Well at least I know I'm not in the top five worst things to happen, that's a bit of a comfort.

Oh definitely aside from not being here, I figured that was just too obvious.

[She chuckles a little, resting her chin on her hand.]

One of my best friends ran a bar, I could introduce you. She'd probably have some really good suggestions!

[What a nice idea. Leaving, setting up a bar; it'd be an easygoing life in comparison to his old one.

That so? Well, I'd be flattered to meet your friend. She's around here, then?

[Aerith nods, waving her hand in a way that takes in the resort, not just the room.]

Mm, we got separated earlier but I know she's around. You can't miss her, she's a bit nervous around strangers but she's very sweet. Long dark hair, her eyes are the kind of brown that looks reddish, and she's so pretty.

[Aerith sighs just thinking about her, but there's definitely something about the way she describes the other woman that does not sound like someone talking about just a friend at all.]

[For all of his complicated relationship with the concept of love -- really, with Daan, what isn't complicated -- he does find Aerith's description immensely charming. He develops a wry smile and folds his arms.]

Well. It sounds like you two are... close.

Well, you save a girl from being kidnapped by the local don, beat up some thugs together, run off to save the world, it's hard not to be, right?

[She sounds...weirdly casual about this information. Way too relaxed in how she drapes herself in her seat, leaning towards him, as if she just described her average Tuesday.

Aerith does look around before she motions Daan closer, leaning in to whisper conspiratorially.]

Also if you want to see one of the most attractive things you should see what happens when she punches monsters. Her biceps are amazing.

[Sitting back, she nods sagely, as if she's just imparted the greatest of wisdoms.]

[OKAY LOOK, Daan is kind of a master of just being casual about some topics but that seems like... a lot. A lot. The kidnapping is enough, but saving the world? Hey, Aerith do you want to elaborate??]
